After roughly a year, our five girls are back with their latest mini-album, "Electric Shock"!

Do we get free candy?

This thread has information about how the weekly music show charts work and how you can help f(x) earn more wins.

How do you do that?
There are three ways to do so: purchasing the mini-album, searching up f(x)-related keywords on Korean sites, and purchasing the songs digitally. Don't worry--we have all those things covered below.

Can we order from other sites?
Well, there's no saying that you can't, but the sites we post here directly effects the Hanteo charts, which will contribute a lot to f(x)'s rankings on music show charts.

1/ MUSIC BANK (6:05PM KST - Every Friday)

Digital sales (65%) + Physical album sales (5%) + Broadcasting frequency (20%) + Viewer’s votes (10%)

_ Digital sales: Melon, Mnet, Bugs, Dosirak and Soribada
_ Physical album sales: This is based on the number of album sales from Hanteo, Hottracks and Synnara
_ Broadcasting frequency: This is based on how many times ‘Electric Shock’ is played on KBS radio & television
_ Viewer’s votes: This is based on viewers who register at KBS website (You need Korean Social Security Number. So Inter fans can’t help this). After each week, Music Bank will select one from registered members and allow them to vote

2/ SBS INKIGAYO (3:20PM KST - Every Sunday)

Digital music Sales (60%) + Album Sales (5%) + Broadcasting Frequency (10%) + Viewer’s Votes (5%) + Searching Point (20%)

_ Digital sales: Melon, Cyworld, Dosirak, Bugs, Soribada
_ Physical album sales: This is based on the number of album sales from Hanteo + Hottracks and Synnara
_ Broadcasting frequency: This is based on how many times ‘Electric Shock’ is played on SBS radio and television
_ Viewer’s votes: Voting through mobile network + Inkigayo Homepage (we will update how to register an account to vote for TAKE 7 after f(x) makes their 1st comeback on Inkigayo)
_ Searching point: Naver (naver.com), Nate (nate.com), Daum, Melon, Bugs, Soribada, Dosirak

3/ MNET M!COUNTDOWN (6:00PM KST - Every Thursday)

Digital Music Sales (45%) + Album Sales (10%) + Global Fan Vote (15%) + Preferences of Music Experts (10%) + Live Show Preferences (5%) + Real-time Charts (5%) + SMS Votes (10%)

4/ MBC SHOW CHAMPION (7:00PM KST - Every Tuesday)

Digital Sales (50%) + Album Sales (20%) + Netizens Votes (15%) + Evaluation by Experts (15%)

The voting page is through Bugs music, so you must have a Bugs account (requires Korean social registration number) or log in to Bugs via facebook (blocked if your IP is out of Korea). As far as I know, fans outside of Korea can’t participate in voting. The song at the top chart will get the title “Champion Song”

5/ MBC MUSIC CORE (4:10PM KST - Every Saturday)

1/ Purchase “Electric Shock” Album:

Synnara is a huge contributor to hanteo real time data. If you purchase “Electric Shock” from here, it may be the best choice.

+KPOPMART:
Their stock come from Synnara, which directly effects the Hanteo charts.

+ DVDHEAVEN:
This site says sales reflect on hanteo’s real time chart.

+ KPOPTOWN:
This site is based in Korea and their sales are counted on Hanteo chart.

+ EBAY:

2/ Search “에프엑스 일렉트릭 쇼크” (It means "f(x) Electric Shock") on Naver & Nate

_ Type in (or copy & paste) “에프엑스 일렉트릭 쇼크” at the search box on the top of the two main portal sites: NAVER (www.naver.com) and NATE (www.nate.com)

NOTE: You must remove cookie after every search

HOW TO REMOVE COOKIES ON FIRE FOX & CHROME

+ FIREFOX:
Click Tools at the left top --> Click options –> Click privacy --> Click “remove individual cookies” --> Type in “Nate” or “Naver” at the search box on the top --> Click “Remove Cookies” (until all of Nate or Naver’s cookies was removed) --> Close --> Ok

+ CHROME:
_ Open Google Chrome -> Ctrl + Shift + N.
_ It will open a new window, enter "www.naver.com" or “www.nate.com”
_ Paste “에프엑스 일렉트릭 쇼크” at search box.
_ Then close and continue “Ctrl + Shift + N”... With this, you won’t need to delete cookies on Chrome

3/ How to purchase (download) "Electric Shock" on Soribada:

_ Sign up an account
_ Wait for confirmation email then click on the link that they give you
_ Click Buy Membership Plan (middle top) and fill out the rest (you should choose the cheapest plan - $6.99/month)
_ Then go here for the album. You can choose to buy individual song or the full album

Note: Each song is only counted once onto Soribada’s music charts per account no matter how many times you download it.

4/ How to vote for "Electric Shock" on M!Countdown:

_ The link in the email will redirect you to this page for inputting your certificate number. Click on "Confirm"



_ After typing in the certificate number right, you’ll get a confirmation page like this. Done with "Sign Up"



Let’s go to the voting part:

_ After you log in to your account, click on the M!Countdown logo



_ It'll redirect you to this page where you’ll find ‘VOTE’ on the middle left-hand side



_ Scroll this page down and you’ll see list of all the artists in the poll. Go to look for "Electric Shock - f(x)" (No.19)

Hi, I don't think it matters when you search for f(x), it should still be counted by Nate and Naver search engines. Timing would only matter if we wanted to make f(x) one of the top 10 most searched for phrases at a specific time. Those times would probably conincide with their music show performances, but we don't have a big plan for that or anything =)

Hi, leaving a comment on the Mnet website should not have an effect on your vote. You may vote from multiple accounts (Twitter, Facebook, or Mnet accounts), but only once per day. Does that answer your question? =)

Yeah, I find it so difficult to support the girls in other sites where international fans are not allowed to have access! I don't know what't the big deal. The companies should be happy that their talents and them are making more profits due to us. To an Asian artist it is usually a big deal just to sell over a hundred thousand copies of your Album , which is basically a joke here in the US. So they shoul be proud that even if there is a language barrier we appreciate their talents.Regardless, f(x)Hwaiting!!!

If you don't feel comfortable sharing certain information online, you don't have to. Definitely put your personal security ahead of anything else.

There are other ways to help that don't require registration. The best/easiest/freest thing you could do is search for 에프엑스 on Nate and Naver =)
